NOTE
: Substance specific correction actors are (always) necessary. They are however most often non constant. Non constant (gram depending) correction factors and in fact only non linear calibration lines? Who will believe in quantitative PLC if not done correctly from on the very beginning ? Although already the “rule of three” is not too popular in the hands of chemists - but many analysts use this rule daily - remember: Only of a LINEAR calibration line will go through X=0, Y=0 - if mathematically extrapolated - but in practice nothing is linear in PLC, even not “a little bit”, so we are quite often in danger with the systematical error level....
